Deborah will present about the art exhibit “Revolutionary Visions, Women in the Hudson Highlands during the American Revolution". This exhibit was the kickoff event for a collaboration between the Southeast Museum and The Putnam History Museum in Cold Spring. The exhibit premiered at the museum in Cold Spring in October and will be coming to our museum in December.
The South Museum looks forward to its second annual collaboration with our downstairs neighbors, The Southeast Coalition, in presenting “A Festival of Trees” which invites community organizations to sponsor and decorate holiday trees in the upstairs theater space. Last year’s festive event hosted families with such holiday treats as hot chocolate with Santa, tree ornament craft making, and a caroling procession down Main Street to the tree lighting across the street from the railroad depot.
Date: Saturday, December 7th
Time: 4 PM – 7 PM
Location: Southeast Museum, 67 Main Street, Brewster NY
This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Art Council’s Arts Link Grant Program with public funds provided through the NY State Council on the Arts with support from the Office of the Governor and the NY State Legislature.
